The pads are pre-connected to the AED and feature illustrations to help guide users in their placement on the victim’s chest.
ZOLL’s Full-Rescue AEDs feature CPR-D-padz®, a one-piece, a pre-connected electrode with Real CPR Help® feedback.
Ordinary AEDs require that the rescuer use two separate electrodes. By using CPR hand placement as the landmark, it is easy to place the CPR-D-padz on the victim quickly. The CPR-D-padz also lasts five years-the longest shelf life of any defibrillator electrode sold today.
Real-Time CPR Feedback
Inadequate compression rate and depth are common during CPR. Adult victims need at least 100 compressions per minute and at a depth of at least 2 inches (5 cm). Compressions must be done well to effectively move blood and oxygen.
An adaptive and responsive metronome guides the responder in executing high-quality CPR. Studies show that high-quality CPR is essential to increasing the survival odds for a sudden cardiac arrest victim. The pads for the ZOLL AED Plus and Pro feature technology that allows responders to easily identify where and how to begin CPR. The pads also sense automatically whether the CPR is too fast, too slow or if the compressions are too shallow.
This technology allows first responders to optimize their CPR and provide the highest quality aid possible. These AED electrode pads send signals in real-time to the ZOLL AED to guide the responder through CPR via a metronome.
